The incentives to fight Johne’s seem very large, probably much larger that most herd managers are aware of. In the UK a big information program to advisors and herd managers is running, and they have been quite successful so far.
The key to success, according to Ben Bartlett, National Milk Recording in UK, seems to be commitment, coordination and communication. It is a long haul but it is good business for the farmer as well as for the laboratory!!...
