In the UK a big information program to advisors and herd managers is running, and they have been quite successful so far. The key to success, according to Ben Bartlett, National Milk Recording in UK, seems to be commitment, coordination and communication. It is a long haul but it is good business for the farmer as well as for the laboratory!!...

Article series about antibiotic testing in Europe ...
In July we will publish the first article, where it is discussed how national legislation is relating to the EU maximum residue level values. The benefits of testing at the farm, at the dairy reception and on the central milk testing (CMT) lab will also be discussed.
In August the next article will follow-up on the various antibiotic testing methods available on the market and evaluate how they are fitting in, when testing at the farm, at the dairy or the CMT lab respectively...
